Manhunt Debuts iPhone, Android Apps

NEW YORK — Gay dating site Manhunt has announced apps for Apple’s iPhone and Google's Android.

The company said it is the first gay site to offer apps for both device platforms allowing users mobile access to more than 4 million Manhunt users around the world.

"Manhunt is all about giving guys what they want, when they want it," said chief marketing officer Todd Sowers. The company is reporting nearly 10,000 downloads a day for the product since its soft launch last week and 5,000 log-ins per hour.

Some of the apps’ key features include connections from a PC, email, track and buddy list access and message filtering.

The new apps augment Manhunt’s existing mobile presence — the mobile web app, M.Manhunt.net — which makes Manhunt available to users on any mobile web browser, according to the company.

The Manhunt mobile web app is undergoing major enhancements and will roll out in the first quarter of 2011 with GPS functionality and more. More information from Manhunt.
