XBIZ, Saguaro Debut XBIZ Android App Through MiKandi

SEATTLE — Leading adult entertainment news media organization XBIZ has teamed up with Saguaro Digital to release the company’s official Android news app, XBIZ News, delivering up-to-the-minute coverage of the adult industry to Android users around the world through the MiKandi store.

Those visiting XBIZ.com from an Android device will be prompted to download and install the native application. Upon opening the application, users are asked to set their settings, which include news topic categories, automatic updates and update frequency. Based on users’ preference settings, updates are pushed to their device throughout the day. Using the application will provide XBIZ users with quick and convenient access on their Android devices of the mobile version of XBIZ.

“We’re pleased to offer yet another unique channel to distribute our industry-leading editorial content,” XBIZ President and Publisher Alec Helmy said. “Native apps have a stronger appeal than web apps, which is why we decided to partner up with Saguaro and MiKandi on this special project. We’re confident that our Android user base will find this to be a very essential app.”

The application was designed and developed by Saguaro Digital, a prominent adult industry application development firm. The firm has developed a variety of adult applications, including Wasteland’s Shake and Bake, Benny Morecock’s Shake and Wank, and The Ultimate Strip Club List.

“Working with XBIZ.com, we're pleased to provide an application allowing XBIZ users greater ease of access and the ability to stay connected while on the go in the MiKandi store,” Saguaro Digital spokesman Sheridan Whiteside said. “This application continues Saguaro Digital's tradition of connecting end users with content in unique and innovative ways.”

MiKandi co-founder Jennifer McEwen adds, “Looking at the latest comScore data, Android is on track to become the leading smartphone OS in one year, which is great for the adult industry as it’s the only OS that allows adult brands to participate without censorship. The release of the official XBIZ News app in our market validates our long-standing belief that the native capabilities on an Android phone lead to more interesting opportunities for application development and differentiation over a website.”

The application is available in MiKandi, the world’s first app store for adults. XBIZ.com marks the first native News and Reference application for the app store.
