The company said that it saw an 87 percent increase in orders placed on AdamAndEve.com on Nov. 26, compared to last year’s numbers. Unique visitors for the site nearly doubled as well.
Cyber Monday showed a nine percent gain, according to the company, that represented significant gains over the previous year. Unique visitors to were up 33 percent as well on Cyber Monday.
“I think it’s safe to say that Santa will be delivering toys for a lot of adults this year,” said Chad Davis, marketing director for Adam & Eve.
He added, “Black Friday has traditionally been a very busy day for us, but the numbers we saw from Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year were overwhelming!”
Toys and stimulators were the top sellers this year for both days, making up more than 50 percent of total sales. DVDs and lubricants were the next most popular items (close to 12.5 percent of total sales each), followed by games and novelties (close to 11 percent) and lingerie (near seven percent).
“Adam & Eve generally sees an increase in sales in August (when children go back to school), over the Christmas holidays and around Valentine’s Day,” Davis said.
“We’re very pleased that even in this still-struggling economy, adults are looking to Adam & Eve as a way to enjoy their time together.”
