Axel Braun told XBIZ he won't be shy suing those who pirate his movies, and he plans to use legal avenues against those who steal his content for every movie going forward.
"Fuck 'em all," he said. "People don't realize that when you pirate a movie it hurts all of the people who work very hard to get it produced — from the cast to the production assistants to the makeup artists. These are people who live paycheck to paycheck, and with 'Batman XXX,' that was a film I financed myself.
"So we are going after every one of them who pirates our content."
Braun, who has numerous adult parodies in the can and a number of others coming up, said that suing BitTorrent pirates has become a "new form of revenue for adult companies."
"There are other tools to keep people buying our DVDs," Braun said. "3D is one tool; that is an experience that consumers don't find satisfying on a computer screen."
The suit, filed at U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, W. Va., late Friday, asks a judge to allow the discovery of unidentified plaintiffs through subpoenas through their Internet service providers.
The suit was filed on behalf of Axel Braun Productions by attorney Kenneth Ford of the Adult Copyright Group.
