Babeland retail store visitors will be rewarded with a free silver bullet on Tuesday with no purchase necessary. Online shoppers need only to enter the code “110210” at checkout to get the vibe free with any purchase on Election Day.
“Whether you think we need to ‘Restore the Sanity’ or ‘Restore America,’ get out and vote,” the company said in a press release. “We’d all like a silver bullet to create jobs, fix the economy, and ensure access to affordable healthcare, but it’s not going to happen if we don’t participate. Fulfill your civic duty and Babeland will reward your efforts with a free Silver Bullet Vibrator.”
Babeland spokeswoman Pamela Doan told XBIZ that the promo is meant to refresh U.S. citizens’ eagerness to vote.
“It’s the midterm elections, people are feeling frustrated and many of them decide to sit this one out,” Doan said. “We hope this encourages them to participate.”
This is the third election cycle that Babeland offers an incentive for civic participation. Doan said that the last promotion was held during the momentous 2008 presidential election.
“It was very successful; we must’ve given away well over 2,000 toys,” Doan said. “One location had people lining outside of the store to get their free toys.”
The rewards included Maverick masturbation sleeve in honor of John McCain and Silver Bullet vibes for Barack Obama supporters.
The 2008 promo garnered mainstream attention, including coverage on MSNBC.com.
