“XBIZ has worked tirelessly over the years to make its content available through as many digital channels and devices as possible,” XBIZ President and Publisher Alec Helmy said.
Citing a poll conducted by research firm Harrison Group that confirms that digital device owners read more, Helmy said, “what better way to maximize our industry-leading reach and audience engagement than to make XBIZ publications available for easy viewing on not only the iPad but all devices which support the universal PDF format.”
While the universal PDF format allows for viewing on any device, Apple users now have the option to also view XBIZ publications in their full glory through the iBooks digital reader app.
With iBooks, XBIZ readers can open current and past issues of XBIZ World or XBIZ Premiere with a simple tap, flip through pages with a swipe or tap, and bookmark or add notes to passages.
"Both XBIZ World and XBIZ Premiere magazines look stunning on the iPad and other Apple devices," said Don Parret, executive director of publishing. "Having the ability to offer viewing on so many platforms means one thing — more eyeballs — and that's what we’re accomplishing with this initiative."
Kristen Kaye, XBIZ's executive director of business development, said XBIZ’s latest innovation increases the value of magazine advertising.
“This gives our print advertisers that much more visibility, bolstering their ad buy with increased exposure to our global audience,” Kaye said. “XBIZ is consistently at the forefront of technology and publishing, and we’re more than happy to pass the benefits along to our readers.”
Digital editions of current and archived issues of XBIZ World and XBIZ Premiere are available at XBIZDigital.com.
