The veteran actor was struck while riding on Ventura Blvd. in Encino, Calif. He was transported to Northridge Hospital with a possible broken left femur bone, however upon further examination doctors concluded his leg was not broken.
Lawrence wished to thank the people who visited him in the hospital and also all who have contacted him.
"I have four days of shoots next week and will be back on set with a smile on my face as usual," he said. "Seventeen years as a cyclist may be enough for me. Sadly it may be time to retire the bike, as there has to be safer ways to keep in shape. I have no control over the driving actions of people who just don't watch out for cyclists."
