“We’ve assembled an impressive group of studios, producers, content protection services and attorneys to participate in the CPR,” Pink Visual President Allison Vivas said.
“To round things out and broaden our effort’s representation of the industry even further, we’re looking for some solo-girl site models and/or site operators to come aboard and take part in the gathering next month.”
Vivas said that Pink Visual would waive the requirement that attendees own the rights to at least 2000 videos in order to participate in the CPR, in the interest of expanding the represented industry sectors to include solo girl sites. In addition to solo girl sites, Vivas said Pink Visual is also seeking production studios that specialize in transsexual content and BDSM to attend the CPR.
“Solo-girl sites are an important segment of the adult industry and we know that they don’t always have a lot of resources behind them and tend to produce less content than major studios and webmaster programs do,” Vivas said.
“In addition, solo girl, fetish, and transsexual content often have concerns about different sites involved in pirating their content. We want to make sure that the efforts that come after the CPR serve the needs of the wide variety of companies in this industry, so it’s important that they have a voice at the event.”
The retreat will take place in Tucson from Oct. 17-19. Studios that have confirmed their participation in the event include Hustler, Gamma Entertainment, Titan Media, SeanCody.com, Private, Hush Hush Entertainment, Sex Entertain, Shane’s World, Falcon, Evil Angel, Randy Blue, AMP Content, Silver Sinema and Lightspeed Cash.
Representatives of the FSC, Take Down Piracy and content protection services like Media Copyright Group will also take part in the retreat, along with several prominent intellectual property attorneys. Vivas said that the CPR is “coming at a perfect time, when the industry appears to be waking up and taking action against piracy.”
The Content Protection Retreat is an exclusive two-day intensive event dedicated to studios wanting to combat piracy and incorporates education panels, studio only discussions and one-on-one expert consultation.
