Zero Tolerance Plans Fall Thrillers

LOS ANGELES — Zero Tolerance Entertainment has announced plans to release dozens of thriller film parodies, beginning with "The Official Friday the 13th Parody," just in time for Halloween.

Zero Tolerance has its sights set on cornering the market of the thriller parody genre by producing parodies of popular films and franchise films including: "Scary Movie," "Scream," "Psycho," "Fatal Attraction," "Silence of the Lambs," "Halloween," "Basic Instinct," "Deliverance" and more.

“We are going after this market aggressively as a corporate mandate and we’ve got an extensive list of popular and well-known thriller and horror titles we will be making original parodies for,” said Greg Alves, owner of Zero Tolerance Entertainment. “In addition, to our reputation as one of the top gonzo studios today, Zero Tolerance will quickly be synonymous with thriller genre parodies and are planning on cornering the market in this regard.”

Zero Tolerance Entertainment said it chose the thriller genre to parody in an effort to capture a younger audience. The company believes the genre will also resonate with the current Zero Tolerance user because it reinforces the current Zero Tolerance mandate to produce highly entertaining films with a twist. ZT said that thrillers generally tend to spoof themselves, so it creates a natural opportunity to create sequels that will give the studio extended life with box sets, anniversary titles, limited editions and more.

All the upcoming thriller parodies will feature either one or a combination of the Zero Tolerance contract stars Courtney Cummz, Sara Sloane and XBIZ New Starlet of the Year Kagney Linn Karter. Gary Orona, who also directed Zero Tolerance’s latest thriller release "Sanatorium," is shooting "Friday the 13th" this week.

“Gary brings a specific technique and voice to the table in this genre that is hard to find in adult productions which is why Gary’s directing and writing input was critical for Zero Tolerance to secure for this first release, “ Alves said.

Zero Tolerance Entertainment’s "Official Friday the 13th Parody," will hit stores Oct. 26.
