Gangbang, a new band made up of porn stars Evan Stone, Barrett Blade and Dale DaBone, along with director Mark Stone, will join Wildside, whose lead singer is Hustler Video creative director Drew Rosenfeld at the gig.
Showtime is set for 10 p.m. on Saturday and the show promises “lots of hot and possibly naked girls.”
“We’re so used to having to stay rock hard on set, but with Gangbang we get to actually rock hard on stage," Stone said. "I've been rehearsing with the band every night and the show is coming together really well."
Fellow headliners Wildside is no stranger to the Sunset Strip, having performed numerous previous gigs at the Whisky A Go Go. Helmed by Rosenfeld, the band formed in L.A. in 1991. They were originally known as Young Gunns, and then changed their name to Wildside, leading to a deal with Capitol Records shortly thereafter. Andy Johns co-produced the debut album that included singles such as "Hang On Lucy" and "Just Another Night" and also included a track co-written by KISS band member Paul Stanley.
From melodic metal to hard rock and grunge/alternative, the band’s sound has evolved over time. Their albums include "Under the Influence,” (1992), “Wildside,” (1995), and “The Wasted Years” (2004). Wildside has remained somewhat dormant for the past decade, but after recently playing a sold-out show at the Roxy, by popular demand they have been asked to do another show at the Key Club.
