The event will air from the Catch One disco in Los Angeles Sept. 19.
“The 1st Annual JRL Gay Film Awards show is for everyone in our community who loves gay adult entertainment and we are truly thrilled that now consumers will be able to watch the show live from their homes on Sunday, Sept. 19," said Christopher Thais, president and CEO of JRL Communications Group.
The awards will feature favorite gay stars and up and coming new talent, according to JRL.
"I appreciate the opportunity this gives the Badpuppy team and I am confident that we will do a superior job for JRL and the viewer community that won't be able to attend in person,” Badpuppy President Bill Pinyon said.
He added, "We also plan to offer VOD replays of the of the award ceremony for those who have time conflicts with the live broadcast.”
Badpuppy’s marketing and advertising manager, Lisa Turner said that her company has supported JRL since its inception and lauded it for its “brilliant staff.”
”Christopher Thais and I go way back and when he called me to say that they were dead set on having Badpuppy stream the JRL Gay Film Awards live, he left me speechless. Whereas those of you who know me, realize that is a difficult feat," she said.
