The company says that due to the exceptional success of central Ohio's first Adam & Eve retail store, the company is moving forward with an aggressive expansion plan that includes a six-store development agreement.
"We have decided to move our initial development plan ahead by a year,” said Tom Moore, Columbus franchisee co-owner. “We are working with our real estate broker with hopes of having our second store open by the end of this year and two more open by the end of next year.”
The franchise operators attribute the success of their first store to the unique market the store serves.
"We are not what people typically assume a store of this nature would be,” Moore said.
“Everyone is so surprised at how upscale our store looks. You immediately get the impression that we are a specialty boutique designed for women and couples. At least 75 percent of our customers are women or couples, and there is really nothing else like it in our area."
Adam & Eve Franchising spokesman Ronnie Coutu said, "Tom has certainly gone to great efforts to make his Adam & Eve store a success. We are thrilled with the progress he’s made and wish him all the best with this ambitious undertaking."
Ohio's first Adam & Eve store opened in January and is located at 5429 Bethel Sawmill Center in Columbus.
Adam & Eve’s award-winning stores are a division of adult industry powerhouse Adam & Eve.
