The Voice devoted an entire page in its current issue (July 23-29) to Ward Sutton's satirical "BatPorn" cartoon.

Sutton's introductory panel includes a take-off on the Batman® logo and announces, "Brother Batmen, I've summoned you here to witness the latest incarnation of Batman. Brace yourselves…He's rated X."
The silver-age Batman then holds up a copy of “Vivid' "Batman XXX: A Porn Parody" DVD and says, "Vivid Entertainment has released this new DVD from Axel Braun that combines explicit sex with a spot-on parody of the 1960's 'Batman' T.V. series." The next dozen panels tell the story of the discovery of Braun's interpretation of the comic from the point of view of just about every single Batman incarnation through the years.
"We've been delighted with all of the positive reviews that we've been getting for the movie, but Ward's 'BatPorn' definitely deserves a special shout out," said Steven Hirsch, founder/co-chairman of Vivid. "His spoof or our spoof is campy and fun, capturing the flavor of our movie and of the T.V. series, complete to his ‘groan and ‘bat-tissue."
In addition to his work for the Village Voice, Sutton has a bi-weekly cartoon in TV Guide and is a contributor to The New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Time, The Nation and Entertainment Weekly. He has also created animation for HBO, VH-1 and TV Land.
