“North Pole 73” features North along with Cindy Hope performing in a real jail cell constructed in the studio. According to North Pole Entertainment, the jail cell was made of solid steel with a functioning lock and key. The scene was shot from outside the cell, with the camera moving inside while North and Hope were in mid-performance.
Unexpectedly, according to the studio, the key for the lock could not be found, locking the performers inside the jail cell. While a search for the key was underway, the performers continued on with the scene. At one point, filming stopped until the key was found misplaced by a production assistant. North and Hope then went on to finish the scene without incident.
"It was the real McCoy, as far as jail cells go," North said. "That kind of thing just doesn't happen during a scene. It got pretty intense inside that jail cell, and I'm not just referring to the sexual tension."
