BANGKOK — The owner of adult affiliate program ButterflyBucks/GhostCash was arrested by police Thursday in the city of Pattaya, accused of producing pornographic images and videos.
An arrest warrant was issued for Paul, 39, after dozens of Thai women complained that the suspect told them that he wanted to be their boyfriend and then took videos and pictures of them engaging in unprotected sex.
"We cannot confirm or deny reports of an arrest of ButterflyBucks/GhostCash owner as we have not been in contact with him," a company spokesperson told XBIZ. "But all of the content is 2257 compliant and both programs will remain open for business."
The women also claim Paul failed to tell them the videos were being produced for a porn website.
"Those allegation from those women are completely false," the spokesperson said. "He always has proper photo ID from all the women he works with. Why would you hand over your ID to your boyfriend right before engaging in a sex video?"
In Paul’s apartment, police found a vast array of video equipment, sex toys, marijuana, a small amount of Opium, a loaded revolver and some women’s clothing which could be matched to images provided by the complainants.
Paul will now go to court in Bangkok to face a variety of charges related to his arrest.
