Canadian Porn Channel to Go HD

OTTAWA, Canada — The Canadian Radio Television Commission has approved an application by broadcaster Sex-Shop Television to offer its adult content in HD.

According to DigitalHome.com, adult pay television station Vanessa is the brainchild of Anne-Marie Losique, a French television host and producer whose goal is to produce a Canadian version of the Playboy Channel.

First approved by the CRTC in 2007, the adult pay service has yet to make it to air in standard definition.

Losique says she expects the station to be on air in August of this year.
