The event is from 7-9 p.m. at the company’s headquarters on Sunset Boulevard in Silverlake. It also kicks off a new series for Stockroom University, the company’s ongoing education program, and is part of the L.A. Leather Week 2010 schedule.
A trio of current international, national and local leather royalty — Jeffrey Payne, International Mr. Leather 2009; Ken Hearst, Mr. Los Angeles Leather 2009; and Alex Lindsay, American Leatherman 2009 — will host the event at the Stockroom boutique and showroom, located at 2809 ½ W. Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles.
Guests attending the mixer in Stockroom’s retail space can meet the former and current leather title-holders while enjoying cocktails from MJs in Silverlake.
Attendees also can take an exclusive tour of Stockroom’s design studio and production floors — which are upstairs from the Sunset Boulevard storefront — to see how the company’s signature handcrafted leather restraints, slings and gear and the couture-quality latex rubber fetish wear are made.
The Decade of Mr. Los Angeles Leather social is free and open to anyone over 21. For questions about the social, contact Stockroom’s Los Angeles retail store between noon and 10 p.m. at (213) 989-0334.
The Stockroom event is followed by a Roast & Toast for Ken Hearst at Oil Can Harry’s, located at 11502 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. The event is the farewell party for the current Mr. Los Angeles.
The annual Mr. L.A. Leather Contest will be held March 27 from 7-10 p.m. at the David Henry Hwang Theatre in downtown Los Angeles, located at 120 Judge John Aiso St.
