LOS ANGELES — JRL, the official gay adult film industry online publication, is gearing up for its first annual gay film awards.
The award show is set to take place Sept. 19 in Los Angeles.
“It’s been a long time coming,” JRL President and CEO Christopher Thais told XBIZ. “After five years, we felt it was time. The industry depends on us and with over 200 studios, there’s a good portion of the market we can’t ignore. Our premise is that everyone in the industry is covered.”
About 50 awards will be handed out to performers in various categories including best bear actor, best latin actor and best bottom performer, among others.
The company says the awards show honors the best in talent. The show will not only be open to the industry, but to consumers as well.
The company says consumers are the back bone of the industry and deserve to see their favorite stars in person.
The awards show will take place at the Catch One Disco.
