The adult company has teamed up with actor and designer Bryan Batt to create "The Hef," a limited-edition loveseat to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Playboy clubs. The sofa will retail for $15,000.
Playboy and Batt plan to manufacture only 50 loveseats and each will be signed by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, whose signature will be placed under a cushion and will be sewn in as a permanent label.
The Hef will be covered in gray mohair and include nail-head detailing, rosewood side panels, with down-wrapped foam seat cushions and all-down back cushions.
Batt said he was inspired by the Playboy lifestyle and the legacy of Hugh Hefner's vision in designing what is described as a "loveseat that represents timeless modern style, class and functionality."
The Hef will be unveiled Feb. 1 at the opening day of the Las Vegas Market at World Market Center.
Batt will sell The Hef exclusively through HazelnutNewOrleans.com, a design shop that Batt co-owns with a partner.
