Pink Visual to Roll Out Augmented Reality Porn

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Pink Visual is developing augmented reality technology that lets viewers join in on porn scenes via webcam and the Internet.

According to reports, the company also is in development of augmented reality tech on smartphones.

Pink Visual’s new augmented reality software, which was unveiled at AEE last week and is currently being tested, involves animated porn characters that can be superimposed onto scenes captured on a webcam.

"Augmented reality will let people put themselves into the scene," Pink Visual’s Kim Kysar said in a report. "There is also a way to get the girls into your kitchen, on your bed ... We provide the images and you provide the scene."

Augmented reality via a user’s webcam is based on Adobe Flash Player and is controlled by the user holding a card printed with a marker image — Pink Visual’s logo.

"You're putting the user in the shoot and vice versa," Kysar said. "Worlds are colliding."

Future plans for Pink Visual’s use of augmented reality include using green screen technology for an interactive experience via a smartphone.

Pink Visual also will be rolling out augmented-reality DVDs by the end of the year.
