She will, however, continue to direct titles for the company’s Torrid Entertainment label and also will appear on her recently launched website, ClubTaylorRain.com.
Rain announced the decision through the blog she edits, LukeFord.com, saying she wants to concentrate on directing and to possibly start a family with the studio’s co-founder, Keith O’Connor.
“Listen, I want to start a family,” Rain said. “I’m sure everyone knows about me and Keith being a couple. Well, we want to have kids. Some things are just more important than being a porno star.”
According to O’Connor, Rain will direct one title per month for Torrid, as well as special projects for Defiance. Rain currently directs both the “In the Pink” and “Spunk in the Trunk” series and is developing a reality-based series called “Taylor Rains Adventures.”
“She just completed shooting her first [reality title], ‘Taylor Rains Desert Adventures,’ where Taylor takes a crew of people to a week long getaway to [RVing event] Glamis — literally in the middle of the desert — with 200,000 people in RVs, and she shot a movie,” O’Connor told XBiz. “The movie is so good — with more than 109 hours of footage and Taylor and the other girls surrounded by hundreds of fans — that we plan on releasing a soft version to mainstream.”
Rain will shoot another title in the series every other month, including the upcoming “Taylor Rain and the Real OC (Orange County).”
Rain also will serve as the company spokesperson for both Defiance and Torrid at special events and parties, along with fellow contract girl/director Lauren Phoenix.
Rain also mentioned that she will be devoting more time to her recently launched website, ClubTaylorRain.com, where she will continue to appear in front of the camera exclusively for site members.
“In all my years in the biz, I never had time to do a website,” she said. “Well, now I have all the time in the world to focus on it. The only hardcore anyone will see from me now will be exclusively on my website. I'll be doing custom videos for my fans. I'll do photosets every month for my site, plus I'll shoot content with some of my friends, plus I'll have all the content from all of the movies I direct for Defiance and Torrid.”
“We'll be supporting Taylor’s website by providing her with all content from every movie she's done with us, and she's also asked us to continue to help with by shooting content for her website,” O’Connor added.
