Playboy.com Introduces Bodcasting for Portable Players

NEW YORK — Not to be left out of the podcasting craze, Playboy.com Monday introduced its new "Playboy Bodcast," which offers online features that can be downloaded directly to portable video players like Apple's new Video iPod or Sony’s Playstation Portable device.

"Playboy.com continues to extend its online consumer base by embracing emerging technologies and creating products that reach people when they want it, how they want it and on the device they want it," Playboy.com Editor John D. Thomas said.

Playboy.com’s newest feature is meant to allow high-tech consumers to view the site on the go. Playboy Bodcast will be updated every weekday using Playboy.com’s online video features including the site’s “Joke of the Day” delivered by a Playboy model, “Ask Hef Anything” and “From the Mouths of Babes” — video advice from Playboy’s Cyber Girls.

"We've seen an overwhelming response to several features we created for consumers to view on different devices” Thomas said. “The success of those features demonstrates that our fans are clearly interested in viewing fun, sexy Playboy features on these kinds of portable players."

The adult entertainment icon has produced a mass of digital products recently, including a video game, digital magazine, ringtones and downloadable "iBod" photos for some portable music players. Thomas said the site also has plans to offer a “premium bodcast” in the future.

Those wishing to access Playboy Bodcast must provide an email address to which the site’s administrators send the Bodcast URL for downloading.
