Brand Danger Acquires SportyONE.com

LOS ANGELES — Brand Danger has purchased online model directory and link list SportyONE.com.

The site’s sale had been in the works for a number of months, and with adult star Kayden Kross financing part of the deal, Brand Danger has taken over management of the site. Kross’s website, ClubKayden.com, is managed by Brand Danger.

“Chris, the previous owner of SportyONE, contacted me in late September out of the blue and asked if I wanted to buy SportyONE,” Brand Danger CEO Brian Gage said. “We were actually in the process of putting together a Brand Danger free model archive, so it seemed like the perfect jump start since SportyONE has a huge fanbase and solid traffic rankings. We didn’t initially have the liquid cash on hand for the asking price, so I regretfully turned it down. Chris then came back to me with an offer I couldn’t refuse and we moved forward with the acquisition.”

Gage currently is working on relaunching SportyONE.com to include tube-style videos, a user community and more.

“We consider this a lightning strike and are extremely lucky to acquire such a valuable asset,” Gage said. “Chris and I have been friends over ICQ for years, and it seemed he simply wanted the site to go to capable hands. We are currently in the process of revamping the entire interface that will include a tube element and also a Facebook style user community. We’re bringing Web 2.0 to SportyONE, and plan to position it as one of the top free model emporiums as it was in its heyday.”

SportyONE.com is updated daily and features more than 2,250 models and one million-plus photos. The site’s relaunch is scheduled for early January.

Brand Danger manages the official websites for Faye Reagan, Lisa Ann, Kagney Linn Karter, Alexis Ford, Angelina Ashe and photographer Holly Randall.
