“We’ve been hearing that sales have been down for many sponsors and know that we can increase their revenues just by converting the foreign traffic they already have, so this is an incentive we want to offer to help the industry,” Global Accés CEO Morten Due said.
He added that many companies have a lot of traffic coming Russia, Ukraine and other Eastern European countries — countries in which credit card payment is unpopular — and thus miss out the opportunity to monetize on it.
“By not offering these surfers a payment system that they are familiar with or can use, these companies are leaving a lot of money on the table for themselves as well as their affiliates,” Due said.
