Shot from the starlets’ POV, the first release in the series follows Penny Flame, Sunny Lane, Jasmine Byrne, Taryn Thomas, Alicia Alighotti, Jamie Lynn, Hillary Scott and Charlie Lane as they go out drinking, dancing and prowling for men at Hollywood clubs.
“Girls Night Out” follows the studio’s signature documentary style, allowing fans to have fly-on-the-wall access to the lives of performers. But Shane’s World owner Jennie Grant adds, “When it came to the editing, we wanted to try something different. It has more of a vignette feel to it. Another thing that makes it different is that when it comes to the sex, the girls are in control.”
In fact, Shane’s World was so pleased with the way Flame, in particular, took control that the company has decided to hand over directorial duties to her for future releases in the series.
“Since the series is from a female perspective, we liked the idea of having a female shooter for it,” Grant told XBiz. “Penny has the ability to move seamlessly between being in front of the camera and behind it.”
Grant says Shane’s World plans to release 4-6 new editions in the “Girls Night Out” line each year and will continue expanding into additional lines.
