DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. – Internet Billing Company (iBill) has announced that it is back in full swing after the near catastrophic hit endured by South Florida last week as Hurricane Wilma ripped through Broward County, doing extensive damage to the area and causing many businesses to close down, at least temporarily. With electric power and water knocked out at its corporate headquarters for nearly a week, iBill continued its credit card processing without interruption.
"Our servers are protected by separate generators that allowed us to continue processing new transactions throughout the crisis," Gary Spaniak, iBill's president, said.
iBill's offices remained closed until yesterday, when power was finally restored to the building. A scaled back staff began the almost overwhelming task of answering phone messages and e-mails.
