Rather than producing, buying or licensing content, Clips4Sale.com owner Neil Orkin has designed a site where everyday people can upload their home sex movies (along with 2257 information) and make money.
Orkin pays amateur pornographers 60 percent of the revenue from each clip surfers buy. Clips typically sell for $1 a minute and run anywhere from two minutes to an hour.
The site is designed to give each producer his or her own “store” — essentially a page dedicated to that producer’s video clips.
Producers can open as many different stores as they like — for example, on store for tickling content, another for three-ways and third for interracial — and each store can be updated as frequently as the store owner wishes.
“We have many [producers] who work full time selling clips,” Orkin told XBiz. “We look for serious producers, webmasters, and amateurs who are willing to put some effort into their stores. The advice I give them is to keep posting fresh content. Those are the people who really do well and make the most money on this site.”
Clips4Sale.com handles all storage, bandwidth, customer service, billing and advertising for the producers.
“We create banners for stores and customize their stores for free if they need it,” Orkin said. “Our admin areahas everything they need to keep track of their clip store.”
Orkin said fetish content is currently the most sought after, but having a wide variety of clips helps to boost business for all producers.
“New stores bring in more traffic and more content, which means people spend more time on the site,” he said. “Ultimately, it means more money for everyone.”
Clips4Sale also offers DRM encoding, digital editing and DVD creation and duplication services.
“We want to eliminate the need for someone to have to create their own member site or do any of the technical work they may not be familiar with,” Orkin told XBiz. “The point is to help them make money in the easiest way possible. All they need to do is produce the clips and upload them.”
