TopBucksMobile Goes Multilingual

LOS ANGELES — Following up on its recent launch, TopBucksMobile.com has announced the addition of new functionality to its affiliate site and the translation of its flagship mobile sites into five languages.

"A major component of our mobile strategy is to increase our penetration into markets outside of North America, and obviously having the sites available in the native tongues of some major foreign markets is crucial," TopBucksMobile Marketing and Sales Director Lea Busick said. "We've started with our flagship sites, iPinkVisualPass.com and iMaleSpectrumPass.com and the languages that our data indicates are the five most commonly-used among our customers, outside of English: French, German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese."

According to Busick, the language displayed by the sites is determined by the end user's setup; for example, if their browser/computer language is set to Spanish, then the sites will display in Spanish.

"The way we've set things up, it doesn't affect the original flow of the sites, or introduce the need for dropdown menus or little flag icons through which you select your language choice," Busick said. "It takes the guesswork out of things for consumers who have their browsers set to any of the five languages we're now offering, without affecting the experience for English-language users one bit."

In addition to the flagship site translations, TopBucksMobile also announced thelaunch of m.topbucksmobile.com — a mobile-optimized front end to TopBucksMobile.com, that offers webmasters the ability to check their stats via a range of compatible mobile devices and more.

"It doesn't offer the full functionality of the standard web version of TopBucksMobile.com, but through m.topbucksmobile.com, webmasters will be able to check their stats, contact our webmaster support team, grab their link codes and get the latest news about TopBucksMobile conveniently, anywhere they can get a signal on their phone," Busick said. "I imagine this will come in handy frequently, particularly during trade shows and other events that pull webmasters away from their desktops for an extended period of time."
