According to the report, the tape features Murphy in marital coitus with her ex-husband, professional surfer Jake Schroeder, and was stolen from Schroeder’s house.
Shot during the couple’s 17-day 1999 honeymoon in Barbados, it is rumored to contain two-plus hours of “completely uninhibited” hardcore sex footage.
In another highlight from the tape, Murphy supposedly dances naked against a backdrop of beautiful tropical scenery.
Murphy through her rep, declined to comment. An unnamed friend, however, told Page Six that Schroeder has had long-running problems with drugs and that Murphy has supported him and paid for treatment since their split.
Schroeder offered no theories regarding who stole the video. While he claims he has not consented to the tape’s release, he apparently is indifferent about the possibility of it going public.
“Yes, a video was stolen,” he told Page Six. “But let it be in the public eye. It doesn't really affect my life; it's Ms. Murphy who has to worry. I'm sick of her bull[bleep].”
If the video really was stolen, there would be obvious roadblocks to its eventual release, but there are bound to be plenty of adult companies willing to take a look at distributing it.
In 2001, Murphy was selected as a replacement for Elizabeth Hurley as the official spokesmodel for Estee Lauder. She also landed the coveted Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover in 2005.
Schroeder and Murphy have been entwined in a nasty custody battle since their divorce. He has said the supermodel is “as fake as her new tits” and that she is “just about the almighty dollar."
