XBIZ Rocks 2009 Summer Forum

LOS ANGELES — Another stellar XBIZ Summer Forum has come to a close, with an impressive turnout of industry players — both new and established — making it one of the most successful XBIZ shows to date.

A modest seminar schedule allowed attendees to schedule more meetings in between informative sessions, which delved into topics including traffic generation, SEO and using Google Adwords to your advantage, and the FSC’s Federal Trade Commission discussion helped complete the solid lineup.

With the temperature down a remarkable 25 degrees lower than previous years, attendees were able to spend more time poolside, cabana-hopping and networking with an assortment of new faces.

Networking appeared to be a key goal at this year’s show, and XBIZ Speed Networking was a bigger hit than ever. Attendees managed to roll out of bed both days early enough to snag a coveted seat number, and there was a waiting list long enough to assure next year’s XBIZ Industry Conference will certainly host v4.0.

“Attendance to this year’s event exceeded expectations, which had been impacted by today’s challenging market conditions.” XBIZ President & Publisher Alec Helmy said. “Not only did the show host an extensive series of exceptionally high quality business events attended by key industry members, but for the first time ever, XBIZ Summer delivered the most beautiful summer weather as a result of our move to June. You can count on XBIZ to take the show to an even higher level in 2010.”

After crowning Ashley Fires as the 2009 Miss XBIZ Summer, mingling at Cybersocket’s Celebrity Suite Party and cruising to the Penthouse Club for another hit Player’s Ball, Forum attendees retreated to the infamous Circle Bar for one last night of drinks and deal-making before heading home — not before stopping by Friday morning’s XBIZ Rehab brunch.
