Mary Carey, who starred in VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew” and the subsequent spin-off “Sober House,” returns to the triple-X fold after a three-year hiatus. “Celebrity Pornhab With Dr. Screw” streets today from Red Light District.
“There are so many spoof movies, but how often do you see a parody staring the person who was really on the show?” Carey asked.
Adding another ironic pop culture wrinkle, “Celebrity Pornhab” also features Penny Flame who was cast on “Celebrity Rehab: Sex Addiction,” hosted by Dr. Drew. The show airs in the Fall and Flame told XBIZ that she completed the RLD movie long before she was approached to do the VH1 show.
Carey toplines the cast that also features Flame, Lexxi Tyler, Audrianna Angel, Crista Moore and Aiden Starr along with Kyle Stone, Jack Vegas, Jordan Lane, Seth Dickens and Mike Horner as Dr. Screw.
“Far from being rehabilitated, the patients in ‘Celebrity Pornhab With Dr. Screw’ keep doing their drugs and alcohol, and, of course, everybody has sex,” Carey said. The movie was directed by Maestro Claudio and features Carey in a girl-girl scene with Lexxi Tyler.
"For those of you wondering about my feelings about Mary [Carey's] choice to mock: Res ipsa loquitur," the real-life Dr. Drew Tweeted in response to the new title. "[Pornhab] makes me very sad."
