"It's a shame that promotion people don't use things like Twitter," West Coast Productions Marketing and Internet Development Manager Chris L told XBIZ. "It's a different audience from MySpace or Facebook, and people are involved."
The "Tweet Peeks" will include information about new releases for the summer from the company, like "After Dark Nurses," an adult thriller about what goes on in a busy hospital when darkness falls. It was produced by West Coast Productions and its feature label After Dark Pictures and directed by Bishop. "After Dark Nurses" stars Aryana Starr, Stacey Adams, Blu Diamond, Babycakes and Luscious Louis, with Rock the Icon, Tyler Knight, Ethan Hunt, and Nat Turner, and has a street date of June 26.
The Twitter campaign is part of a larger effort by West Coast to communicate with its fan base.
"You can learn so much from your fans," Chris L said. "They say what kind of girls they want to see, and what they want them to do. They told us that Kanye gave a shoutout to 'Booty Talk' in 'Rolling Stone' recently.
"It is definitely part of out social networking campaign. It's a cliché, but we're really thinking outside the box."
