Upon reading an XBIZ.com article announcing the film’s development, Liberator Web Editor Dawn Hill told XBIZ that the company reached out to the production house to offer its products as props.
“The prop master looked at [our] website and liked what he saw, so he passed our information along to the costume designer and set dresser,” Hill said.
The film, which stars Hollywood starlet Christina Ricci and is produced and co-written by Sandler, will feature the Wedge/Ramp/Whirl Trio, and actresses in the scene will wear Liberator Lingerie and Liberator Latex costumes.
“We are proud that our playwear, fetish wear and sex shapes were selected to appear in the movie,” Liberator CEO Louis Friedman said. “In Hollywood, Liberator is one of the few products that can truly be considered a brand star.”
Hill said that the company attributes Liberator’s increasing Hollywood popularity to its collections’ quality and subtlety.
“Liberator is a great product to hint at sexuality without being phallic,” Hill said. “Sex, the adult industry, and porn overall seems to be on Hollywood's radar lately and Liberator is a non-threatening interpretation of Lovestyle, since we are about enriching the couple's experience.”
“Born to be a Star” revolves around a young man who discovers his parents were porn stars during the Golden Age and travels to California to follow in their footsteps. The film is in preproduction with Miles Deep Productions.
