Playgirl sex educator and writer Jamye Waxman hosts the podcasts, which were recently picked up by Yahoo. Waxman also writes the popular Sex.ed column for Playgirl magazine.
Five podcasts are already available on the Playgirl site, including “Vibrators and Dildos...a Beginners Guide to Toys,” which takes a painstaking look at the difference between the two devices, and “An Intro to Kegeling,” which promises a fresh new way to ensure that your Monday night “doesn’t suck.”
Sexual firsts and a Playgirl sex survey also are available for download, as is an in-depth discussion of erotica and how language can turn people on.
Waxman was previously a radio producer for LoveBytes with Bob Berkowitz, The Joan Rivers Show and The Alan Colmes Show. She also was formerly a sex educator at the Toys in Babeland store in New York.
Aside from her work with Playgirl, Waxman currently serves as president of Feminists for Free Expression, a group that describes itself as “working to preserve the individual's right to see, hear and produce materials of her choice without the intervention of the state ‘for her own good.’”
