BaitBus is produced by BangBros. and follows the same reality-porn conceit as its popular Bang Bus, but with a twist designed to appeal to fans of all-male content.
Steve Legos is the media buyer and affiliate relations manager for Bait Bus.
"The main difference is that it's a bait-and-switch trick for the guy,” Legos told XBIZ. “The bus or van drives around, luring a guy onto it by creating the atmosphere that the guy is going to have sex with a girl.
"Foreplay begins and before it moves onto anything major, the guy is blindfolded and then blown. The setup is the guy off the street thinks it's the girl blowing him. After a few minutes the blindfold is ripped off, revealing the guy being blown by another guy."
BaitBus has successfully — and quietly — worked the reality-porn formula for five years. The new branding campaign has been crafted to increase market awareness.
"We realized that we have a unique product that hasn't come close to reaching its potential," Legos said. "The gay market is very untapped in comparison to straight, and with our winning formula in Bang Bus it was time to get behind it and make a strong push for it. We have the support at the resources here to make it a strong site."
Legos said the company has also tweaked its marketing plan.
"We're realizing we have to change how we approach promoting gay content to better reach the consumer," he said, "perhaps in a different manner than how we appeal to the straight market."
Although the BaitBus vignettes debut online they are not web exclusive, Legos continued.
"Our BaitBus DVDs have been strong sellers for years. Bang Productions handles all of that — production, editing, cutting and distribution."
BaitBus is updated weekly with hardcore content — "as much as we can pay the guy to do," Legos quipped — and offers a variety of affiliate tools, including video and still photo galleries, screen caps, one- and 10-minute clips and hardcore and softcore trailers in HD.
