JBM Show Lives Up to Expectations

LAS VEGAS — More than 150 webmasters and company executives descended on Las Vegas over the weekend for the debut of the JBM show, with the Mandalay Bay Hotel serving as home base for the three-day event and show-related parties and get-togethers taking place throughout the city.

Networking was the order of the day, and those in attendance said the size and setting were perfect for getting business done.

“When [else] do you get a chance to hang out with new and old faces in the same place for days?” Nader Fasheh, owner of NichePay, told XBiz. “I think the smaller events like this one are the way to go if you want to make deals, rather than a huge show with everyone scattered.

“I was not thinking about going and got a few late phone calls that convinced me to go. Now that I'm back, I'm thinking about how many new people I met and how many more deals I worked out,” Fasheh added. “Overall, it was one of the best gathering I have gone to.”

Webmaster Greg A. of SICCash agreed. “We personally worked on making sure program owners got to meet other program owners who did not already know each other,” he told XBiz. “Our mission was to have decision makers meet decision makers. With changes to the big show, small shows like this are where we are heading — more intimate and less B.S.”

Stephen Bugbee, vice president of GigaCash, summed up the show in a few simple words: “Nice mix of business and fun for everyone.”

The show officially got underway Thursday night with a cocktail reception co-sponsored by JBM and ARS at Mandalay Bay’s posh Foundation Room overlooking the famed Las Vegas Strip. Attendees were then provided with bus service to the Spearmint Rhino for a “Boobs and Booze” party sponsored by NicheWealth.

On Friday, many attendees took advantage of a rare opportunity to fire pistols, semi-automatics and machine guns at an event co-sponsored by WEGcash, P2Pads and Jettis. The day was decidedly more low key for other attendees who opted to lounge by the Mandalay Bay pool cabanas at the “Networking in the Sun” event co-sponsored by RealityVideoContent and SICCash.

Family-style Italian food was on the menu that evening during a dinner at Maggiano’s restaurant sponsored by Platinum Feeds and Platinum Bucks. Later that night, IllCash got everyone in a gambling mood with a midnight poker tournament at the Silk Room.

Saturday’s lineup included go-kart racing at the PimpRoll 500, co-sponsored with Reality Feeds. There was more fun in the sun at a joint birthday bash for S.A.K. and Wiseman at Timbos Mansion West sponsored by Quickbuck, Adult Players Club and Adult Paymaster. The evening wrapped up with a farewell party at the Mix sponsored by National Net.

JBM’s Brad Shaw told XBiz that all of the show’s events were well attended, especially nighttime cocktail parties. The company is seeking feedback from attendees to help plan future shows. One issue up for grabs is whether JBM will return to Las Vegas. Based on early response from attendees, a return is likely, but Shaw added that the company will consider other options.

On the other hand, WegCash Director of Marketing Cory Wayne told XBiz he wouldn't change much about the show.

"The show was well organized and strategically designed to cater to the upper-echelon of our business," Wayne said. "Without question, Wegcash got business accomplished. All of the events were creative, fun and hospitable."

"Adult Friend Finder and Cams.com will gain several new affiliates from the show," added Legendary Lars. "We also were able to cut a few high-end deals and shake hands in person. That’s always a nice way to close a deal."
