RemoveYourContent.com Appeals to ISPs to Police Piracy

IRVING, Texas — Anti-piracy company RemoveYourContent.com has rolled out a new service that specifically asks hosts to help stop broadband users from sharing content illegally.

RemoveYourContent.com’s Eric Green said that he and his team don't plan to file any lawsuits as a part of their efforts to police content.

"We are addressing the piracy issue direct with the infringer's Internet service provider," he said. "The new service will identify illegal torrent file sharing and notify service providers regarding the copyright abuse.

Green said that his company's new service has been received fairly well among ISPs all over the world. After an ISP gives an offending broadband user a warning, their service is sometimes terminated if the user keeps sharing files.

RemoveYourContent.com pitches itself as a specifically adult service, citing 80 adult Internet and DVD content providers among its clients.
