Babeland, Vixen Creations Release Tristan Anniversary Edition Plug

NEW YORK — Vixen Creations has released the Tristan Anniversary Edition Plug to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original Tristan buttplug.

The original Tristan buttplug, released in 1999, was named for sex educator Tristan Taormino, who helped design it. Taormino is the author of "The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women" and has directed several instructional and adult entertainment DVDs, including "The Expert Guide to Anal Sex" from Vivid-Ed.

Taormino first developed the toy after discussions at her anal sex workshops. “This was the first plug that didn’t have a traditional teardrop shape. It was designed to go in and stay put,” Taormino said. “Other companies have tried to copy the design, but this is the original and still the best.”

Vixen followed the Tristan with the larger Tristan 2.

“For 10 years, the Tristan and Tristan 2 butt plugs have been bestsellers,” said Marilyn Bishara, owner of Vixen Creations. “We wanted to do something special to commemorate the anniversary, and we always love collaborating with Tristan on new toys.”

The Tristan Anniversary Edition Plug is larger than the Tristan and smaller than the Tristan 2. It comes in a special black and blue swirl color combination created especially for it.

It will be sold exclusively at Babeland stores and on the Babeland.com website.

“We are thrilled to be the exclusive retailer for the Tristan Anniversary Edition Butt Plug, and it’s a natural partnership,” said Babeland cofunder Claire Cavanah. “Tristan used to work at our Lower East Side store in New York City. Her workshops at our stores consistently sell out, and she is one of the best sex educators of her generation. Her work is completely in line with Babeland’s mission to bring customers top-quality toys and products along with comprehensive sex education.” For more information, visit Babeland.com.
