Private Media's library of images, video, and mobile TV channels will be distributed to 91 operator portals in 51 countries as part of the partnership with Twistbox.
Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based Twistbox works with more than 100 operators to host and deliver products and services in more than 40 countries. It has more than 400 branded WAP sites and about 50 live mobile channels. Twistbox offers “late-night” content through its Waat subsidiary.
Private, in a statement, said the terms of the deal mean its content will see improved revenue generation through increased exposure and premier positioning.
"We look forward to increasing our mobile revenue through the new penetration levels we will achieve on Twistbox’s vast distribution network,” said Tim Clausen, vice president of sales at Private Media Group. "Not only will Private attain a greater presence in existing territories but it will also tap new markets where we previously had no content distribution."
