"Jack Goes Boating" is an adaptation of Bob Glaudini's off-Broadway play of the same name, which opened in March 2007. The film, which is Philip Seymour Hoffman's directorial debut, stars Hoffman, John Ortiz and Daphne Rubin-Vega, who are all reprising their stage roles, and Amy Ryan. The film is described as a romantic comedy that centers around a stoner limo driver and his quest for perfection. Production began in New York on Feb. 9 for Cooper's Town Productions. U.S. distribution will be by Overture Films.
