Tweaked Geek Offers 3rd Party 2257 Record-keeping Services

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Tweaked Geek Inc., has announced the launch of its third-party custodian of records services aimed at easing the 18 U.S.C. § 2257 federal record-keeping requirements for primary and secondary producers of adult entertainment.

According to the company, the recent changes in the 2257 record-keeping law allow for a third party to serve as the custodian of records for primary and secondary producers of material covered by 2257.

"This is a welcome change for hobbyist photographers who are covered under the new 2257A law, as well as webcam performers and others who would rather not list their home or office address on an adult website to comply with federal law," stated a company spokesperson. "Now these webmasters can list a third party custodian, who is responsible for storing the required documents and providing these to the FBI during a records inspection."

Mike Patton, CEO of Tweaked Geek, discussed the benefits of third-party records custodianship in a company press release.

"The smaller home-based adult webmaster will no longer need to publish their home address on their websites to be in compliance with federal law," Patton said. "Since we include a web based interface for entering the required information and uploading the required documents, there's no longer a tremendous software cost hindering the small start-ups from being in compliance."

"Our service makes it so simple to manage compliance documents that anyone who can se a web browser can easily bring their websites into compliance with 18 U.S.C. § 2257," Patton added.

Tweaked Geek is currently offering a free, seven-day risk-free trial of its service.
