ASACP Fundraisers Set for The Phoenix Forum

LOS ANGELES — ASACP will be the beneficiary of two different fundraising events at The Phoenix Forum in Tempe, Ariz., April 2-4.

Netbilling and X2K will host the 5th Annual Phoenix Forum Golf Tournament, which will benefit ASACP, the Free Speech Coalition and Webmaster Toy Run 2009. The event will take place at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Mesa, Ariz., on Wednesday, April 1, the day before The Phoenix Forum officially opens.

On Saturday April 4, Unzipped Media and Maleflixxx will present the first “Spring Fling — The Ultimate Booze and Bunco Bash” featuring fantastic prizes, great networking opportunities and a cutthroat Bunco tournament. Cocktails will be served at 8:30 p.m. and the game starts promptly at 9 p.m. The game is limited to 100 players and the $50 entry fee includes two free drink tickets. All proceeds will benefit ASACP. Seats can be reserved at ASACP.org/BuncoBash

“During the current economy, ASACP needs your support more than ever. We are very grateful to Unzipped Media, MaleFlixxx, and CCBill for creating the Bunco Bash Fundraiser to benefit ASACP. There are only 100 seats available, so make sure you reserve your seat today or you may be left out of one the ‘funniest’ events at the Phoenix Forum,” ASACP CEO Joan Irvine said.

“We are also thankful to be included as a beneficiary of the golf tournament once again. ASACP has a great deal of work to do in D.C. in order to educate the new administration about the work the adult industry is doing to protect children and to continue to spread this word internationally. These fundraisers will greatly assist our efforts.”

Also during The Phoenix Forum, ASACP Technology and Forensic Research Director Tim Henning will participate in the International Legality and Individual Country Laws seminar on April 2. The seminar will focus on how webmasters can keep ahead of changing international content laws and protect their business. Henning will lend his technical expertise and share how ASACP can help people protect their businesses by protecting children.

Founded in 1996, the Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating child pornography from the Internet. ASACP also works to help parents prevent children from viewing age-inappropriate material online.
