Voting Begins for 2009 FAME Awards

LOS ANGELES — Voting has started for the fourth annual FAME (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) Awards, which will be given out June 13 in Los Angeles.

"This show has really been embraced by both the fans and the entire adult industry,” said Dan Davis, editor-in-chief of Genesis magazine, one of the sponsors of the awards. “The entire event, from voting to the awards show itself, has grown each year and we expect this year to continue that trend. We are extremely grateful to all of the fans, stars and companies who have supported us presenting this event, and we can’t wait to see the response this year.”

The FAME Awards were created in 2006 by Genesis magazine, Adam & Eve, WantedList.com and AVN.com for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. The winners are selected by fans in an online poll. The first round of voting is now open on the FAME Awards website and the final voting round is set to begin on April 21. More than 100,000 votes were cast in last year’s contest.

The awards show will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center as part of Erotica LA, with free admission to attendees of the Erotica LA show. Details of the show, including hosts, have not yet been announced.
