Meyers' resignation comes at a time when Playboy is facing problems. CEO Christie Hefner announced her resignation in December. In February, Chris Petrovic resigned as Playboy's vice president of digital. In January. Playboy closed its New York office and cut roughly 40 jobs.
During a 30-year media career, Meyers spent 19 years at NBC Universal and eight years at Viacom.
The company has not announced plans to name a replacement. Meyers' duties will be assumed by Playboy interim CEO Jerry Kern.
