The extension will protect FSC members for one more month from federal inspections enforcing U.S.C. 18 § 2257.
According to Tom Hymes, FSC director of communications, the extension will terminate on Oct. 31, or until the court rules on plaintiffs’ motion for a preliminary injunction in FSC et al vs. Alberto Gonzales.
Friday’s motion marks the second extension in the case, which was first granted on Sept. 1, with an expiration date of Friday, Sept. 30.
Hymes stated that it is still the expectation of the attorneys for the FSC that a decision by Judge Walker D. Miller on the plaintiff’s motion for a preliminary injunction will be handed over soon.
