He will join directrix Chi Chi LaRue and Chicago-area dragstress Honey West, as well as performers Brent Corrigan and Channel 1 Releasing exclusive Blake Riley.
Hudson caused a stir in the blogosphere when he posted a YouTube clip in which he offered to teabag anyone who voted for him as Grabby Awards co-host.
"Obviously, I wanted to show my funny side when I made my first offer to teabag for votes," Hudson told XBIZ. "But some people took it seriously. I don't mind. It will make for a great show to see that all play out."
Hudson said he looks forward to the performance aspect of the gig. "I love to act up and be silly and weird. My friends get to experience it privately, and I want to share that with everyone. My fans and everyone in the industry deserve a fantastic show."
He added, "I have brought a lot of joy through my films, and I want to give back to those who have supported my career."
The other contenders were performers Steve Cruz, RJ Danvers, Trevor Knight, Nash Lawler, Collin O'Neal, Erik Rhodes, Jason Ridge, Giovanni Summers and Jackson Wild.
In related news, Hudson — a recent XBIZ Awards nominee as GLBT Performer of the Year — recently signed an unusual exclusive contract with online studio CockyBoys.com that allows him the flexibility to shoot gay- as well as straight-adult content.
The Grabby Awards unspool May 23 at Chicago’s Park West Theater. The late Gay Chicago Magazine founder Ralph Paul Gernhardt established the Grabbys in 1992 to honor gay male erotica.
