Rossi joins other Nectar directors Marty Zion and Eric Avalon, and was praised by Logan for work that is “the perfect balance of sensuality and raw sexuality.”
Rossi’s first release for Nectar, titled “Evil Bitches,” hits the streets on Sept. 30. His first project for 1st Strike is titled “The Darker Side of Sin” and is slated for an Oct. 12 release.
Formerly a still photographer for Vivid Entertainment, Rossi said he relies heavily on a diverse creative background in fashion to enhance his work as a director, which includes working with high-concept sets and elaborate wardrobes.
Rossi said he prefers showing his talent still shots of themselves before they engage in live action.
“I’m not shooting dialog movies,” Rossi said. “I’m still shooting pictures. I’m going from creating pictures to creating a series of pictures. Every single frame is a still, so for me it’s like throwing stills together.”
Of his two-year tenure with Vivid, Rossi said he learned a lot, especially when it comes to working for a company with a solid reputation.
“I noticed that when performers come on to a set that they know is going to be high quality, they give more,” Rossi said. “If there is anything I’ve learned over the years, it's shoot what you love. And that’s what you’re going to see on my movies for Nectar.”
