The CUGSA has hosted its annual party titled "Filthy/Gorgeous" for three years, and traditionally invites prominent GLBT performers to headline. Recent guests of honor include entertainers Cazwell, Lady Bunny and Dangerous Muse. Additional featured performers this year are hip-hop artists God-Des and She.
The event is scheduled for Feb. 28 at Willard Straight Hall Memorial Room on the Cornell University campus.
"I'm thrilled and honored to have been asked to appear at such a prestigious institution. The boys and I are really going to give these kids a run for their money and show them what being filthy and gorgeous is all about," LaRue said.
In addition to a meet-and-greet session, LaRue will serve as celebrity DJ by spinning a set during which Bilding and Riley will be featured as go-go dancers.
"We'll be handing out straight and gay DVDs as giveaways in honor of the straight and gay alliance members," Channel 1 press rep Andrew Moore told XBIZ. "Vivid Video sent over a box of DVDs that Chi Chi directed for them."
The CUGSA will raise funds with a charity raffle in conjunction with Alternative Breaks, a student-run group that organizes public service outings during spring break. Proceeds will benefit Sylvia's Place, an emergency shelter for GLBTQ youth in New York City.
