Sureflix, Gay.com Launch Private Gay Cinema

TORONTO – As part of a strategy to increase partnerships with other gay adult brands, Sureflix Digital Distribution, owner and operator of Maleflixxx.tv, expanded its offerings this week by partnering with Gay.com to create a private label video-on-demand site.

Slated for a fourth quarter launch, MenAfterDark.tv is a pay-per-play service that will be available exclusively to adult users of Gay.com, said Mary Gillis, Sureflix product marketing manager.

The new site was created to expand Sureflix’s network of gay adult pay-per-view programming and VOD sites, in addition to the company’s gay erotic television channel Maleflixxx Television, based on Toronto, where the company is headquartered.

MenAfterDark.tv will be accessible through Gay.com’s adult portal, Men After Dark, and will feature scenes as well as movie rentals from gay production studios Falcon, Blue Blake, Kristen Bjorn, MSR, Studio 2000, to name a few.

Under the terms of the deal, the two companies will embark on a joint promotional campaign to promote the new VOD site.

Spencer Moore, director, corporate communications at PlanetOut Inc., parent of Gay.com, said the deal with Sureflix ensures that Gay.com adult members get access to the world’s “best” adult digital entertainment offerings.

PlanetOut, a San Francisco-based public company that trades under the ticker LGBT, provides a network of media and entertainment services for the gay/lesbian/transgender community through chat, news, entertainment, travel, dating, personal finance, career, shopping and community services at its four core websites, Gay.com, PlanetOut.com, Kleptomaniac.com and Out&About.com.

“Gay.com’s goal is to bring the most compelling entertainment content and experiences to our customers,” Moore said. “In this space, we explored a range of alternatives and concluded that Sureflix delivered the best service by far.”
