The exhibit, titled “All-American Porn: 25 Years of Erotic Photography from Vivid Entertainment,” opened with a reception at 7 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. It included an open cocktail bar and the opportunity to meet some of the Vivid girls.
“Vivid revolutionized the adult film industry, bringing high-production quality to adult films for the first time and creating some of the most iconic names in pop culture by cultivating the careers of stars like [Jenna] Jameson and [Ginger] Lynn,” WoW founders Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said. “Our exhibit [focuses] on the greatest covers of the past quarter century and compelling behind-the-scenes photos from Vivid Entertainment, Vivid-Alt and Vivid Men movies, and many are truly works of art.”
Bailey, who served as co-director for “Inside Deep Throat” and co-executive producer for “Pornography: A Secret History of Civilization,” will also host a free panel discussion featuring presentations by Vivid co-founder and co-CEO Steven Hirsch, director Paul Thomas and Vivid girls.
The panel starts at 7 p.m. on Feb. 19, and will be followed by a party with an open bar and a chance to meet the presenters.
The exhibit, which began on Feb. 15 in commemoration of Vivid’s 25th anniversary, will be on display Tuesdays through Saturdays between noon and 6 p.m. through March 13.
The WoW Storefront Gallery is located at 6650 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, Calif.
